Celebrities Love Designer Engagement Rings
We hear the words “designer engagement rings” quite often, but what do they really mean, and are the rings we are always seeing truly designer engagement rings? The definition of designer is being designed by someone famous. That said, a lot of the times we are hearing about designer engagement rings, they are actually custom made rings. Celebrities, for their part, are notorious for only wearing famous designers, and that includes their jewellery. Very few celebrities have engagement rings not specifically designed for them by a famous designer, and it shows in the beauty and uniqueness of their rings.
Designer engagement rings are available to the public, but they cost a lot more than an engagement ring that was designed by someone, somewhere. That is why so many celebrities have them and most of the general population does not. Many celebrities also have designer engagement rings that were customized just for them, giving them a truly one-of-a-kind ring. Until the rest of the world sees it, of course, and imitations are made that are much less expensive and just as beautiful.
Kim Kardashian has a very unique ring, because not only was it made by New York designer Lorraine Schwartz, but her husband helped design it himself. He also added a personal touch by having “K hearts K” engraved on the inside, as well as a bible verse. Lorraine Schwartz has also created designer engagement rings for Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, Heidi Klum, and Beyonce.
Beyonce has had her ring since April of 2008, and it is still just as stunning as the day she got it. The ring is an 18-carat flawless diamond. Heidi Klum’s engagement ring is as creative as the proposal her husband Seal created. He proposed in an igloo and gave Heidi a canary yellow diamond ring set with a yellow gold band. That is not a ring you see very often, or a proposal you hear about every day!
Designer engagement rings are created by the best in the jewellery business. They are original masterpieces, incredible works of art, and the rings that set the trends for all the other jewellers to follow. And since celebrities are the trend setters in our society, it is no surprise that they are often the ones wearing the most grandiose rings. As soon as celebrities start flashing their rings, jewellers are besieged by brides wanting replicas.
