Engagement Ring: Star of the Proposal
Men and women seem to have completely different aspects on proposals. Little girls fantasize about how the man of their dreams will propose, and little boys, well, do not. It dos not seem to change when they are all grown up, either. But a tip to the man who is considering a proposal – there is only one thing more important than the way you propose, and that is the engagement ring you propose with.
Think of the proposal as a movie, and the engagement ring is the star of the show. The movie can be wonderful with a lackluster star, but what most audiences take away from the show is the performance of the star. It is the same with your engagement ring. Your proposal can be fantastic, but it will really shine with the right engagement ring.
Choosing the right engagement ring shows that you truly know your future fiancé. You know not only what style she likes, or how large of a ring she would like, or whether she likes traditional or more modern designs, but also that you can select an engagement ring that represents everything she is to you, and everything you will be together. Buying an engagement ring is an emotional investment, so make sure you are choosing something that speaks to your heart and reminds you of the woman you love.
Before you go shopping for your engagement ring, do some homework. Make sure you know and understand what cut, colour, carat, and clarity are, and what features are important in your ring. Know your budget, because buying a ring is also a financial investment. Keep in mind that there are so many different styles and sizes, that finding the perfect one in your price range is not as frightening as it sounds. Find the ring that speaks to your heart. The one that instantly reminds you of your future fiancé. Once you find that, all you have to do is plan the perfect proposal to go with it. Doing that will require more creativity on your part, but once you have the perfect ring, one that will represent your love for the rest of your lives, the rest of it will fall into place.
